WHO recommendations for reducing the risk of coronavirus infection

23 декабря 2020

- Wash your hands regularly with an alcohol-based sanitizer or with soap and water. This will eliminate possible microbial contamination of hands, including viral one;

- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, if possible. A person touches many surfaces with their hands, so there is a chance that viral particles could get onto them. Once on your hands, viral particles can get into your eyes, nose, or mouth. From these parts of the body, the virus can enter your organism and cause the disease;

- Clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, especially surfaces that people often touch, such as door handles, faucets, and phone displays;

- When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your hand or tissue — throw the tissue immediately after use and wash your hands;

- Avoid close contact with people who demonstrate signs of fever and cough;

- If you have high temperature/fever, cough, difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and report your movement history to the health facility;

- When visiting markets in areas where cases of new coronavirus infection are currently being reported, avoid direct unprotected contact with live animals and surfaces that have come into contact with animals;

- Consumption of raw or undercooked animal products should be avoided. Care should be taken when handling raw meat, milk, or animal organs to avoid cross-contamination with uncooked food in accordance with good food safety practices.
